Single Needle Right Angle Weave (RAW): Increasing Stitches Within a Row
This page is a continuation of our Single Needle Right Angle Weave technique tutorial.
There are four sections to this tutorial: Making a base row - Starting a new row - Increasing Stitches - Decreasing Stitches
Overview
There are two places to increase a stitch using the right angle weave: within a row, and along the edge.
When increasing along the edge, you can increase at the beginning of a row, or at the end of a row.
Increase within a row when you want to hide the increase within the pattern.
Increasing within a row
| 1. |
Where you need to increase the number of stitches within a row, add three beads to the thread instead of two, and weave two of them together as vertical beads.
|
| | |
| 2. |
In the next row, weave each of the two vertical beads independently. This will add the new stitch in in the middle of the row.
